The Bohyme® journey begins.
Se Heum Hong, with the support of his wife and children, established Fashion World Ent. Inc., the maker of the Bohyme® hair extension brand. Since day one, the goal was never to be the greatest in the world but to be the greatest for the world.

Unique Wiiv® was introduced into the market as Fashion World’s first official 100% human hair. The use of 100% human Remi® quality hair for extensions helped revolutionize the hair extension industry.
In 1985 Black Diamond™, another 100% human hair brand, was introduced to the market. Characterized by it’s unique softness, suppleness, manageability, and many style options, the brand quickly gained a large following.

Fashion World Ent., Inc launches the world-famous 100% human hair brand - Onyx™. This exceptional product line, created with quality and accessibility in mind, has consistently been a first choice for beauty supply stores all over the world.

The year Bohyme® became official. The Unique Wiiv line was renamed to Bohyme®. By selecting the very best raw materials consisting of healthy Remi® human hair, the Bohyme® Gold and Platinum Collections quickly became the leader in the professional hair market.
During this time, Bohyme® launched another revolutionary product - Bohyme Hand Tied Wefts created with 100% Remi® human hair.

Demand for Bohyme® products was growing day after day and Fashion World Ent., Inc had to move to a new location to accommodate the increasing demand. The 70,000-square-foot warehouse with temperature regulation allowed us to drastically improve our inventory management so that we could have a steady supply of all product types, textures, lengths, and colors for authorized retailers and hair professionals worldwide.

The year that truly changed the hair extension industry. Fashion World Inc. was the first to implement a method for preserving hair cuticles and aligning them in a unidirectional way to create the most natural and healthy hair in the market.
In 2001 Mr. Hong introduced and trademarked the term REMI® into the hair industry and set new standards with its products and innovation. In today’s hair market, the term Remi® (also referred to as Remy in the market) is recognized as one of the most widely used terms to signify high-grade hair quality.

Alex Hong, Mr Hong’s son, joined the company and is currently the Vice President. From this moment he shaped the Bohyme® voice and was motivated to create industry accessiblity and standards. He continues to focus on improvements in our products, work standards, our communities, and most importantly, our environment. He works closely with distributors and stylists from all over the world and through constant feedback and recommendations from them, he continues to innovate and develop new styles, wefts, and colors.

Bohyme® hair makes its cinematic debut in a fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones. Through the seasons between 2011 - 2019 Bohyme® hair was used to create some epic hairstyles.

The Bohyme factory In China joined the Environmental Protection Association. The factory has formal EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) approval and invests thousands yearly to treat and eliminate pollution-causing wastewater. In the same year, our factory received both a Work Safety Standardization Certificate and a Quality Management System Certificate.

Bohyme® launched Birth Remi® collection. With ethically sourced hair, each bundle of Birth Remi® is sourced from individual donors and passes through meticulous inspections to ensure the healthiest state of hair. Unprocessed, virgin hair allows each bundle to maintain its integrity making the possibilities endless when it comes to styling, dying, applying heat, or custom coloring.

Bohyme® launched its newest collection - Bohyme® Luxe - a high-quality line, created with and exclusively sold to salon professionals in the industry. This collection encapsulates our exclusive, top-tier extensions for professional salon users. Using only healthy, all-natural hair, Bohyme® was able to produce vibrant colors and textures on multiple weft types.
In 2014 Fashion World Ent joined the PBA (Professional Beauty Association) in an attempt to group up with others to create regulations for the hair industry at the Government level.

The first Bohyme® collection is designed for quick, safe, at-home installations. This collection features clip-ins, tape-ins, and halo hair extensions in a variety of bold colors.

Bohyme® created a new, innovative product - Seamless Weft™. This lightweight weft allows stylists to easily customize length, volume, and color. Flat, thin, and almost undetectable, Seamless Weft™ can be cut to any desired width without fraying and was developed with revolutionary technology to eliminate many factors that could cause irritation or matting at the scalp.

Bohyme® launches another new product - Bohyme Halo V1, as a part of the Essential Collection. In addition to extensions that require professional installs, we also wanted to offer easy, do-it-yourself items that could be used by everyone.

Timeless Bohyme® Gold is renamed to Bohyme® Classic. This collection is the oldest collection, which has its beginning in 1978. It offers the widest selection of installation methods, styles, textures, colors, and lengths.

After testing hundreds of different formulas, Bohyme® found the right match for its hair extensions. Remi® Revitalize was launched at the beginning of the year.

Bohyme® launched the limited edition - Private Reserve collection featuring thick, voluminous hair in three of the most popular hand-tied styles - Silky Straight, Body Wave, and Ocean Breeze. This exclusive collection is a symbol of Bohyme’s roots. It is a union of something old and something new. It’s the healthiest and fullest Bohyme hair available.

Bohyme® launches its newest collection Ethos®, ‌created with the highest quality hair from the remote villages of Shangri-La. This collection boasts a myriad of colors and 100% Virgin Cuticle Remi® hair.
Bohyme wanted to return to its roots and make sure that this collection was made to be the best for the world. The hair industry is not just about the products we use, but also the communities around us.

After listening to the needs of hair professionals around the globe, Bohyme® created Genius Weft. Blending the best qualities of our Seamless and Hand Tied wefts, it's our thinnest, flattest, and lightest weft. Genius Weft is virtually invisible like a hand-tied weft and can be cut to any size like a machine-tied weft.

In 2021, Bohyme introduced the thinnest machine-tied weft, Ethos® M-Tied. This unique weft combines the strength and durability of machine-tied hair with the look and feel of hand-tied hair. M-Tied is thin, flexible, can be cut at any point for easy customization, and is created with only the highest quality, ethically sourced hair.

Bohyme® expanded its Ethos® collection again in 2021 with the Unlimited Seamless weft. This very flexible, flat, and smooth weft can be cut at any point for unlimited customization and is ideal for adding lots of volume and length. Ethos® Unlimited Seamless doesn't have any folded-over hair, so it's more comfortable for those with sensitive scalps.

With so many requests from stylists asking for a new wave pattern, Bohyme® took action and created Loose Wave. Part of the popular Luxe collection, this new medium coarse texture offers soft, free-flowing waves for naturally gorgeous, tousled looks. Loose Wave is available in a range of the most popular Luxe colors & lengths.
