Shaylie George-Green is a third-generation hair stylist. A graduate from Bon Losee Academy of Hair Artistry, she is a Manager and Cosmetologist at Image Maker Salon and Boutique—her mother’s salon. Shaylie has personally worked with Bohyme for 15 years, and her family has worked with Bohyme for over thirty years.

Her mother and grandmother remain her greatest inspirations, influencing her love for the industry, empowering young women, and educating fellow stylists. Shaylie’s belief is that as an industry, when it comes to extensions, we can do better, healthier, and create a better culture within the industry we all love—more uplifting, more supportive, more loving, and a more encouraging culture because in an industry largely based on creativity and artistry, there should be no room for the alternative.

“If I am going to leave a handprint on this industry, let it be that. That is what inspired the creation of S. George Hair Extensions, home of the Tight-Line method.”

tight-line method

Shaylie’s Tight-Line Method is unlike any other method. It does not use any glue, tape, beads, or chemicals, instead just hair, hand-tied extensions and thread. It is a “braided” method, but the way it is “braided” is what makes the method so unique. It is tight and secure, but not painful, and ergonomically correct and safe for all stylists—even for those who may not be great at traditional braiding. It is non-damaging, and the only method proven to actually get your clients natural hair healthier. Shaylie’s certified stylists are taught to use hand-tied wefts in a way that preserves hair quality and longevity, all while making their hair last longer and thus more financially sustainable for clients.
