Our Predictions For Oscar Hair 2018

We all love watching the Oscars for the fashion, don't we? But a HUGE part of what makes a fashion look worthy of coverage and insta-shares is the G-L-A-M...and a big part of the glam-factor is the H-A-I-R.

The most enviable red carpet hair is achieved using extensions so since we're in the biz, we thought we'd share a few predictions on the hitmaking hair you'll be emulating for seasons to come (we're talking to you brides-to-be!).

Psst...we can even bet a lot of that hair is Bohyme (wink, wink!).

Ready, Set, GO!

As you've witnessed over the past two years, extensions aren't just used for length. Many stylists incorporate them for volume and to create fullness from root to tip. A big trend for 2017 was slick hair and we envision a paired down version of this trend for the Oscars. Glass-like sheen will elevate chignons, lobs and bobs as pictured above on Selena.

French Girl hair is one 'trend' we can never get enough of. We predict hair will have a less fussy vibe on the red carpet this year, and effortless French-styled cuts (with and without bangs) will shine on the red carpet. We predict texture on texture with loads of well-placed extensions for loads of hair density.

Don't forget to catch this year's 90th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

Sleek, extra long ponytails always bring the drama. We love this look paired back with evening looks, especially juxtaposed against stately gowns. And we all know the way to truly achieve them is to use extensions. There's no shame in that game!

Long straight hair is its own fashion statement. The look is timeless and helps to keep an Oscar look dateless in photos. Extensions will be used to complete these winning looks especially when paired with bodycon dresses.

We will be seeing all sorts of messy top knots and big bold buns intermixed with adorned hair accessories. Less is more with these looks, but the threaded gem is always extensions.

We do envision braids making their way onto the red carpet, but perhaps in untraditional ways. We predict side braids and peek-abo braids like the one pictured above (with dramatic Hollywood waves to complete the look).
